Jenny Randerson AM congratulates Nick Clegg MP on his sucessful leadership bid

Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for Cardiff Central, Jenny Randerson has congratulated Nick Clegg on his election as Leader of the Liberal Democrats.

Jenny Randerson said: "Like many in the party, I found it incredibly hard to choose between the two excellent candidates. There was a real feeling that whoever won, we would have an excellent leader in place for many years to come.

"Nick is one of the most talented politicians of his generation and has been a great friend to Cardiff, visiting us regularly since the last election.

"His ability to communicate, and his sharp mind will make him a fantastic leader.

"With catastrophe after catastrophe for the Labour Party and the Tories irrelevant in so many parts of Britain, I know that Nick will lead us to great success at the next General Election and beyond."
