Randerson Samples 'Diverse Cardiff Central'4.24.22pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 3rd Apr 2007 Cardiff Central AM Jenny Randerson has recently visited Mosques, a Synagogue and a Sikh Gurdwara. Jenny said "One of the things that I love about my constituency is the diversity of its residents and as the Cardiff Central AM it is important that I seek out all groups within my constituency to ensure that I continue to understand their problems and aspirations. "I am proud of the fact that Cardiff Central was home to the first registered Mosque in the UK in the 19th century. "I was especially impressed with how welcoming our hosts were and I hope that I can continue to serve them. Over the past 20 years or more I have developed good relationships with the communities of Cardiff Central. "I now notice that almost 300 Poles are registered to vote in the Cardiff Central Assembly election and recently met some of them at a specially arranged picnic. It is yet more evidence that Cardiff is continuing to evolve in terms of its diversity" Notes: Jenny visited the Shal Jahal Mosque; The Pearl Street Gurdwara; The Cardiff United Synagogue and the Darul Isra Mosque in the last few weeks. Ends/diwedd
