Jenny Randerson, Welsh Liberal Democrat AM for Cardiff Central, and Jenny Willott, Welsh Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, will be holding a street stall on Friday afternoon to campaign for the party's new Green Tax Switch Policies. The new policies include a reduction in income tax, with the emphasis switched to taxing pollution instead.

Jenny Randerson AM said, "The new Green Tax Switch policies offer a fair and environmentally friendly approach to taxation. Income tax would go down, and some of the lowest earners would be taken out of income tax altogether. With the emphasis put onto pollution, people with the most environmentally friendly lifestyles will pay the least."

Jenny Willott MP added, "Climate change is one of the biggest problems we face today. The Green Tax Switch offers us a realistic and fair way to reduce carbon emissions, without unfairly penalising those who are worse off."

Notes for editors:

The Cardiff Central Green Tax Switch street stall will take place this Friday, 27th October, 1-3pm, on Albany Road.
